Meet the Minister

Andy Pearce has been Rector of St Nic’s since February 2021 after arriving from City on a Hill Melbourne – a large anglican church in inner-city Melbourne.

Andy is husband to Kim and Dad to Jonny, Dexter, Arthur, Henry and Stanley. He is British by birth but Australian by choice and has been in Australia since 2006.

Andy loves Jesus and loves people and has a deep commitment to the living and active Word of God. He is passionate for engaging, faithful bible teaching where people encounter the biblical Jesus and are disrupted by His beauty and relevance.

Andy became a Christian at the age of 18 after hearing the gospel at school and a Christian holiday camp in England. Since then he has served Jesus at University, in the workplace, and now in vocational pastoral ministry.

Before hearing God’s call to ministry, Andy spent ten years working as a Creative Director in Digital Advertising in the UK and Australia. With more and more time doing church ministry and gospel outreach, Andy started a new chapter and studied at Moore Theological College in Sydney, then as a pastor in Sydney and Melbourne arriving Rockingham.

Andy is a passionate creative, home barista, a terrible gardener, keen runner, wannabe swimmer and proud MAMIL … middle aged man in lycra.
